Join Tomaree Coastal Adventures for a WILD Family Adventure in Tomaree National Park.

Bring the kids & join your fearless leader to explore our local bush land, beaches and everything in between!

Enjoy a short guided bush walk mixed with games and craft designed to reconnect your family with nature.

WILD Family Adventures will be different each week but will generally have some of the following activities:

  • Sand sliding (bums/feet/cardboard)
  • Rock pool exploration
  • Bush walks
  • Bug hunting
  • Mud play

Groups activities (as listed below) may go ahead if the health crisis is over:

  • Nature art and craft
  • Shelter building
  • Fire building and cooking

WILD Family Adventures will continue unless schools close, or as further information comes to hand, at which time we will review our status.

To allow our sessions to continue we need to work together in partnership, I understand that our community will be in need of support and connection over the coming weeks, however as always, the safety of our staff, our families and our Tomaree Coastal Adventures community will remain our first priority.

In an effort to ensure the safety of our Tomaree Costal Adventures community and our staff, we will be implementing the following strategies:

  • We will be encouraging; good hygiene practices such as covering your coughs and sneezes with your elbow, washing your hands often with soap and water, using alcohol-based hand sanitisers; and social distancing between participants (at least 1.5m between family groups).
  • If you or any member of your family/friends (that you live with or who you have had recent close contact with) has any sign of illness we ask that you DO NOT attend our classes until the exclusion period for the relevant illness has passed (see NSW Health guidelines). As this request is being put in place to protect the health of all our families, anyone who ignores this request will be required to leave, will not be allowed to return to our classes and any payment made will be forfeited.
  • Soap and water will be provided so participants can clean their hands on arrival and departure. Alcohol based hand sanitizer will be available for use after toileting, and before & after eating.
  • Please make sure to bring your own snacks and water, and please do not share these with anyone else.
  • We will be aiming to keep distance between participants (family groups) – think of these sessions as a chance to get outside and explore our amazing surroundings, (rather than a social outing – of course there will be a social aspect but with physical distancing in practice).
  • Due to the high ‘touch based’ nature of close group type activities, we will no longer be doing group craft or projects.

We look forward to seeing you at our upcoming sessions. Thank you all for your understanding, cooperation & support in this difficult time ❤️

  • Expect to get wet and/or dirty! This is not the place for nice clothes.
  • All rubbish you bring in, you will need to take home with you.
  • Most locations are NOT (normally) pram friendly – 4WD prams may make it. We recommend the use of baby carriers and backpacks for supplies.
Caregiver Ratios
This is a facilitated activity. Your guide is there to show you and your children how to connect with and enjoy nature. They will explain safety procedures but YOU are responsible for watching your children and enforcing the safety guidelines. Due to this we will enforce a maximum ratio of 1 adult caregiver to 3 children – including infants. If you turn up with a higher child to adult ratio and no other attending adult is prepared to make up the difference you will be TURNED AWAY with NO REFUND. This is for your child’s safety.

Weather
We love ALL weather – so dress accordingly! Sessions will only be cancelled in the case of relevant weather warnings, extreme heat events and unsafe fire conditions.

Toilets
There are usually no toilets available at session sites. You will need to utilise outdoor toileting practices – we will cover this in our briefings.

Please review our terms and conditions. This covers our Booking Conditions (payments, cancellations, photos release, minors, minimum numbers, special requirements, removal from tours) and Risk Warning & Liability Waiver.
