Sessions will run Monday’s & Wednesday’s 12.30pm.

There will be NO Sessions Monday 16 March 2020

Locations change each week to reduce our impact on the environment.  This is also for group safety – we operate in public spaces so cannot have the area exclusively.

Session locations will announced each week through the private WILD Club Facebook group. This group is open to families who have made bookings – https://www.facebook.com/groups/1247307912122362/?source_id=357371528222245

We recommend bringing a baby carrier – most locations are NOT pram friendly.

  • Healthy snacks and water – we are an environmentally conscious business and discourage the use of single use plastic water bottles, and plastic wrapped food. We love to see nude food and resuable water bottles.
  • Sun safe clothing – long sleeve collared tops, sunscreen, broad brim hat, knee length pants
  • Grippy, enclosed shoes
  • Spare clothes, nappies etc.
  • In wet weather – gumboots, rain wear and warm clothing (not cotton)
  • Any normal medications (epi-pen, asthma puffer etc)
NOTE: Expect to get wet and/or dirty! This is not the place for nice clothes.

Weather
We love ALL weather – so dress accordingly! Sessions will only be cancelled in the case of relevant weather warnings, extreme heat events and unsafe fire conditions.

Toilets
There are usually no toilets available at session sites. Children will need to utilise outdoor toileting practices – we will cover this in our briefings.

Please review our terms and conditions. This covers our Booking Conditions (payments, cancellations, photos release, minors, minimum numbers, special requirements, removal from tours) and Risk Warning & Liability Waiver.

For our programs to resume we need to work together in partnership, I understand that our community will be in need of support and connection over the coming weeks, however as always, the safety of our staff, our families and our Tomaree Coastal Adventures community will remain our first priority.

In an effort to ensure the safety of our Tomaree Coastal Adventures community and our staff, we will be implementing the following strategies:

  • We will be encouraging; good hygiene practices such as covering your coughs and sneezes with your elbow, washing your hands often with soap and water, using alcohol-based hand sanitisers.
  • If you or any member of your family/friends (that you live with or who you have had recent close contact with) has any sign of illness we ask that you DO NOT attend the session. In this situation please call our office to organise cancellation or postponement. As this request is being put in place to protect the health of all our families, anyone who ignores this request will be required to leave immediately and any payment made will be forfeited.
  • Soap and water will be provided so participants can clean their hands on arrival and departure. Alcohol based hand sanitizer will be available for use after toileting, and before & after eating.
  • Please make sure to bring your own snacks and water, and please do not share these with anyone else. During the pandemic Tomaree Coastal Adventures will not be providing any catering.
  • We will be aiming to keep distance between participants and staff. If first aid is required additional PPE will be worn.
  • When you arrive for your session please do not let your children gather with other families – a distance of at least 1.5m must be maintained between participants of different families. If possible stay by your car until the guide comes over to introduce themselves and complete paperwork.
  • Due to the high ‘touch based’ nature of close group type activities, we will no longer be doing group craft or projects

Thank you all for your understanding, cooperation & support in this difficult time ❤️

Payments can be made by direct deposit or card (online using Stripe or in person using Square). To pay by direct deposit please call us to make your booking.

Minimum Numbers We require a minimum of 5 participants for a session to go ahead – if we do not reach this number we will get in touch with those who have booked to discuss refund, postponement or a small group surcharge.

Due to current public health restrictions our maximum group size is 10ppl. We have endeavored to keep our pricing as low as possible for families. As a result, full payment for each spot is important to cover our operating costs. Parents are welcome to join us but you will need to pay for your spot.

These sessions are generally unsuitable for younger siblings. We have sessions specifically tailored to young children – Play Groups.

In comparision to our Nature Play sessions we will cover longer distances on foot at faster pace. It will be very uncomfortable for accompanying parents to carry tired and unwilling children if they cannot keep up with the group. It may also detract from the groups experience if a guides attention is occupied by and younger child.

Watch our packing information video.

  • Comfortable backpack to carry your gear. Children may walk a maximum of 10km so it is important that the bag fits well and isn’t too bulky. A bag with waist belt is recommended to reduce weight on your child’s shoulders.
  • Water bottle or hydration pack. Min 2.5L capacity.  We are an environmentally conscious business and discourage the use of single use plastic water bottles.
  • Weather appropriate clothing.
    • Hot sunny days: Sun safe clothing – long sleeve collared tops, sunscreen, broad brim hat, knee length pants
    • Wet or cold days: Synthetic or wool layers, warm hat, raincoat, rain pants (if you have them). NO COTTON. Remember to still wear sunscreen and bring a sunhat.
  • Grippy, enclosed shoes
  • Any normal medications (epi-pen, asthma puffer etc)
  • Enough food for the duration of the session

LINK TO ONLINE WAIVER

We use an online waiver system for all participants, please ensure you complete this prior to arrival. This is especially important during the COVID-19 pandemic to reduce physical interaction between staff and participants.

Rubbish
All rubbish you bring in, you will need to take home with you.

Weather
We love ALL weather – so dress accordingly! Walks will only be cancelled in the case of relevant weather warnings, extreme heat events and unsafe fire conditions.

Toilets
Toilets are limited within the National Park. We advise you visit the nearest public toilet BEFORE arriving at the meeting point (detailed on walk description notes). You will need to utilise outdoor toileting practices whist on tour – which we will cover in our briefing.
